Vivian is located in the northern part of Caddo Parish in Northwest Louisiana. The town is on Louisiana Highway One and is north of Shreveport, LA and south of Texarkana, TX.

There are many attractions nearby. Barksdale Air Force Base, home of the 8th Air Force, is located nearby in Bossier City. Shreveport and Bossier have some of the best riverboat casino gambling in the Deep South, and all of them are less than a thirty minute drive.

Vivian has a mild climate, affordable housing, a low tax base, and easy access to major highways including LA Hwy 1, US Hwy 71, I-20 and I-30.
